ESP32 Christmas Projects — DIY Decorations, Gifts & Pranks

Christmas is the best time of year to build stuff. Everyone around you is already in a forgiving mood, the tree needs decoration anyway, and “I made this for you” beats anything from the mall. These projects cover three territories: making your house look spectacular, giving handmade gifts that actually get used, and pulling off pranks that will be talked about for years.

Every project uses an ESP32 as its brain. You probably already have one. If not, grab an ESP32-S3 dev board for about $12 and a 5m reel of WS2812B LEDs for $15 and you can build most of this list. Total parts budget for all projects is roughly $80 if you already have filament and a soldering iron.

Let’s go.
